Pricing Pages That Convert for Software Studios

Studios often skip pricing or only say “Contact us,” then drown in mismatched leads. How to structure plans, scope, and CTAs so the right clients self-qualify.

Why “Contact us” alone fails

Serious buyers want a budget order-of-magnitude before booking a 30-minute call. Zero price signal invites tiny leads and scares time-sensitive buyers away.

A studio pricing page is not SaaS self-serve checkout—it is a filter and educator. If 30% of form fills are still out of scope after reading it, the copy is still vague.

Three pricing patterns for custom work

1) Starter packages with explicit scope (e.g., 5–7 page corporate site). 2) Investment ranges (“projects in this class typically X–Y”). 3) Fixed discovery + custom quote.

Packages fit repeatable work; ranges fit mid-size builds; discovery fits complex systems. Mixing all three without explanation makes the page noisy—pick one primary pattern.

Put scope next to the number

A number without deliverables is meaningless. Under each plan, list what is in and explicitly out: revision rounds, integrations, content production, technical SEO, admin, retainers.

A three-column comparison usually beats a long essay: Starter / Growth / Custom. Mark the middle as recommended only if it truly fits most clients—not as a dark-pattern nudge.

Answer objections on the page

Pricing FAQs should cover: why not a cheaper template? milestone payments? source ownership? monthly care? mid-project scope change?

Payment transparency (e.g., 40/40/20 or milestones) lowers anxiety. If you only publish “starting at,” define what that starting project includes.

CTAs and forms for studios

Replace a generic contact form with 2–3 filters: project type, budget band, deadline. That raises first-call quality and lets you decline politely faster.

A secondary CTA helps earlier buyers: sample proposal download or a short discovery booking. One glowing button dumps everyone into one funnel and hurts show rates.

SEO and trust on pricing

Pricing pages can rank for queries like “custom website cost” when the content is honest—not bait. Link case studies beside plans so claims have ground.

Avoid fake currency tricks or unrealistic teaser numbers. Mismatch between site price and the proposal kills trust on call one.

Make it operational

Refresh plans each quarter with real data: average project size, win rate, loss reasons. A pricing page is a living sales asset, not a tombstone of last year’s services.

At Paradise Code we treat pricing as part of the sales funnel—paired with service scope and consult paths—so leads share a common language before the first meeting.

Frequently asked questions

If competitors hide prices, should we?

Not necessarily. Controlled transparency can be a advantage—if you also make scope transparent.

Won’t showing prices increase haggling?

Sometimes—but haggling inside a known band beats free meetings with impossible budgets.

What about fully custom projects?

Publish a range or fixed discovery fee plus similar examples. Details belong in the post-call proposal.

Show both toman and USD?

If your audience is mixed, yes—and state the unit and update date to reduce misunderstandings.
