Challenge

Typical reading platforms lag on huge books, struggle with OCR text fidelity, and fail at reliable copy/paste. The product needed an app-like experience without sacrificing accuracy or offline access.

Solution

React + Next.js (App Router), list/page virtualization, IndexedDB caching for book data/metadata, precise OCR positioning, and resilient UI state. Result: continuous scrolling without noticeable performance loss.
